Eat them with a smoothie for breakfast or as a snack with a cup of tea or coffee. These 'healthier' snack bites are a good alternative to store-bought snacks loaded with preservatives and what not.
It's so easy, a recipe is almost unnecessary!
- Mix 2 large bananas (mashed) 2 cups instant oats (blended to give it a softer texture).
- Add anything you like! All the extra ingredients that you add should be more or less 1/2 cup.
- Scoop spoonfuls onto a prepared baking sheet.
- Bake at 180˚C / 356˚F for about 15-20 minutes (remember, I have a tiny oven, so your time will probably be different).
I added chocolate chips, Chinese Goji berries, flaked coconut, flaked almonds (together making 1/2 cup) and 1 teaspoon vanilla essence.
